About Plaque Psoriasis & Obesity Clinical Trials

Plaque psoriasis is the most common form of psoriasis, affecting about 7.5 million people in the United States, or roughly 2–3% of the population. Studies show a strong link between plaque psoriasis and obesity, as both involve chronic inflammation that can worsen symptoms and complicate management. More than just skin deep, these conditions can impact confidence, comfort, and overall quality of life.

Many adults find it difficult to cope with the uncertainty that comes with these conditions. Flare-ups can be unpredictable, symptoms may worsen over time, and current treatment options don’t always provide lasting relief. Clinical trials offer an opportunity to explore potential new therapies, opening the door to better outcomes, and renewed hope for individuals living with plaque psoriasis and obesity.

Revival Research Institute is conducting a clinical trial for adults with plaque psoriasis and obesity at several locations across the United States, including North Carolina. To qualify, participants must complete the screening process and meet the study requirements. Those selected will receive either investigational treatment or a placebo, with all study-related care provided at no cost.

*All study procedures and study-related treatments, including the investigational drug, are provided at no cost, and no insurance is required to participate. If eligible, participants may receive compensation for time and travel.

*To take the next step, submit the form above, and our research staff will contact you to determine if you qualify for the study. A brief discussion about your health and medical history may be required.

The connection between plaque psoriasis and obesity goes beyond the skin; it can affect mental health, energy levels, and self-esteem. Flare-ups may be triggered by stress, certain foods, climate changes, or skin irritants.
