Mohammad Shahzeb Khan, M.D., M.Sc.

Cardiology

Dr. Khan is an internationally recognized cardiologist with extensive expertise in cardiometabolic diseases, heart failure, and cardio-oncology. Known for his patient-centered approach, he combines advanced clinical skills with a commitment to improving quality of life, addressing patient preferences, and delivering compassionate care. Board-certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease, Dr. Khan is also sub-specialty certified in all major cardiac imaging modalities, including echocardiography, cardiac CT, MRI, nuclear imaging, and vascular ultrasound.

He has contributed to over 400 peer-reviewed publications and participates in pivotal clinical trials, advancing research in cardiometabolic therapies. Dr. Khan frequently shares his expertise at national and international conferences and serves as an associate editor for Heart Failure Reviews and European Society of Cardiology-Heart Failure. His work bridges innovative research and practical patient care, helping translate cardiology insights into improved outcomes for adults and geriatric patients across diverse clinical settings.

Education & Experience

Dr. Khan earned his medical degree from Dow University of Health Sciences and completed residency in Internal Medicine at Stroger Hospital of Cook County, IL, followed by a Cardiology fellowship at Duke University Hospital. He is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease.
